Retribution is Mine is being worked on which means going through papers to see where I left off, and remembering what I have so far. I forgot some of the plans, and now I’m happy to say I remember them. Looking over the old stuff too like this scene:
This is one of the old scenes from Retribution is Mine: “That is all for today.” I tell Aria Stevens a member of the Agency who recently got chosen. Only day 1 but she has gotten off to a good start. I run a hand through my hair as the sweat runs into my eyes. Training always makes me sweat I am in the training room of The Killer Contract Agency, and I’m going to start classes with the students at Southbend. It will be annoying going to school all over again. At least college girls are more mature than high school ones.

“We found her.” My eyes widen. Could it be her after all these years? The girl of my dreams, and the one promised to me? Of course she is a human though, but she is like no other. One put through the challenges of life to see the way she builds herself up.
“Where?”
“Surrey in Canama county. It is the one we have been looking for, and the bad thing is her energy signature is messed up.” says Rickfield Harris the one responsible for finding charges.
Oh no and I had a feeling that would happen too. I sat in a chair in a grey room with the screen and control room used to pick out killer contract Agency operatives. I was looking for the human called a FireRager. My mate too since I’m destined to be with one, but the bad thing is they have genes that when used with the powers can turn them into assassins or make them insane. Messed up energy signatures are bad because it signals so much abuse that if not treated well the person can be driven to commit suicide.
“Name?”
“Scarlet Nightshade a graduate from Surrey Slip high, and another piece of good news? She is going to attend South Bend University this fall.”
“Excellent.”
I cannot wait to finally meet the girl so we will live happily ever after.
Some of the scenes are way different, and Dante used to be Anubis, and it also introduces Phoenix which is Dante’s brother who used to be called Aquarius. Going through the notes I also see old school ones since I wrote them during class, or during the boring times of my last job. Not too much downtime in my new one, but on days off I can play in the story world in between trying to find a full-time writing job close to my major. In the meantime reading all I can to succeed in writing, and playing games. It’s a waiting game when it comes to certain things like waiting for feedback from one more beta reader, and then I will look over it. Then when it’s ready to send it to Liz, and then time to come up with ideas for the cover. Retribution is mine takes place where book 1 took off, and it tells the story of how Scarlet became a vampire, and how she met Dante and works for The Killer Contract Agency.
Also, The Killer Contract Agency will be published in other places after July 15th. Its time in select has run out, and it doesn’t do me any good to continue in it.
